One of LA’s most talked-about immersive experience, Hospital of Emotions is a temporary pop-up exhibition inside a real hospital. For a limited time, a building within the St. Vincent Behavioral Health Campus in Los Angeles is transformed into a living museum of emotions. 70 artists from diverse creative fields have taken over the venue and transformed it into an immersive artspace exploring the full spectrum of human emotion. At Hospital of Emotions, each emotion becomes its own hospital department, from joy and love to fear, anger, hope, sadness, gratitude and resilience. The exhibition is presented by the curatorial and creative team of House of Art and Dreams, together with ROYVA and St. Vincent Behavioral Health Campus.

The Institute for Art and Olfaction is a non-profit devoted to experimentation and access in the field of perfumery and olfactory art. They actualize their mission by initiating and supporting experimental projects with scent, by providing accessible education in their laboratory. In partnership with institutions and community groups, they curate art exhibitions that incorporate scent in their gallery, collect and archive scent books, materials, and perfumes, and raise visibility for independent, artisan and experimental and artistic practices with scent as a whole. The Institute offers a full calendar of educational presentations, and workshops where you can learn about perfume blending and the art of creating your own scent.

Two of Yayoi Kusama’s groundbreaking Infinity Mirror Rooms are in the Broad collection and open to view: The Souls of Millions of Light Years Away (2013) and Longing for Eternity (2017). Musical Crossroads is a sprawling digital touch table that allows visitors to explore hundreds of artists, singles, albums, decades, and music scenes, and discover what connects them. The interactive experience is a dynamic way for visitors to see and hear music they love—and discover even more great music. Created in partnership with IBM, Musical Crossroads is a 21st century version of the original Crossroads table, which debuted in 2008 when the museum opened. The new version features AI models and IBM watsonx to identify patterns across genres, artists, and eras, and reveal how sounds evolve and influence one another over time.
